The recording industry has filed 532 more lawsuits against song-swapping suspects. Due to a recent court ruling, the RIAA is employing the "John Doe" process this time, initially identifying the individuals by IP address only. No word where Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie will be going this time. Guitarist Terry Balsamo has officially been named the new guitarist for Evanescence. Balsamo's been doing the job since November and the sudden departure of founding member Ben Moody. Insiders say the next Janet Jackson album will be her sexiest yet. The as-yet-untitled CD is set for a March 30th release. Jackson performs during the halftime show at the Superbowl February 1st. Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken's tour together has been dubbed the Independent Tour. As co-headliners, they'll alternate performing first or second each night. The third season of American Idol continues its three-night premiere with fresh episodes tonight and tomorrow night. Along Came A New Number One: Along Came Polly knocked The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King out of the top spot at the cineplex over the weekend. Polly earned $27.6 million to be beat the final chapter of the Tolkien trilogy, which had been the box office champ four weeks running.
