Ozzy Osbourne Sharon Osbourne says Ozzy almost died in the all-terrain biking accident he had earlier this week on his estate in England. "He had stopped breathing for a minute and a half and there was no pulse," according to the Osbourne matriarch. She said Ozzy had to be revived by a security guard.

Ozzy Osbounre could be off the ventilator that's helping him breathe by the end of the weekend, wife Sharon says.

Georgia officials are examining the terms of Bobby Brown's probation stemming from his August jail time for drunk driving. Depending what those terms are, Brown could be heading back to the slammer immediately as a result of the domestic violence charges filed against him this week.

Trans-po home: Burton, who won a new truck as part of the reward challenge, was voted off by the other Survivor castaways last night. Jon, Darrah, Lill and Sandra compete for the million dollars in the big finale Sunday night, which is followed by one of those reunion shows.

Popular "outcasts": the rap duo Outkast has the top two singles on the Billboard magazine Hot 100 chart, with "Hey Ya" and "The Way You Move" at number one and two respectively.

Grammy queen Norah Jones has finished her next album. It's expected sometime in February. The disc will feature a duet with country star Dolly Parton.

ABC says 26 million people watched at least part of Ryan and Trista's Wedding Wednesday night.

Mary and Kendu's Wedding: singer Mary J. Blige didn't get married the day after Thanksgiving--as she had told Ellen DeGeneres she would. But Blige did tie the knot with Kendu Isaacs in a small ceremony held last Sunday at her home in New Jersey.

Congrats to Jimmy Kimmel. ABC has renewed the host's late night program, Jimmy Kimmel Live, for another season.

A pay-per-view Bon Jovi concert airs New Year 's Eve. Bon Jovi: Full House - The Concert from the Boardwalk was taped last month over two nights at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

New Jay-Z Nets? Nobody knows if he'll try and change the name or not--but rapper Jay-Z and a group of investors are trying to buy the New Jersey Nets basketball team.

A Kid Rock Christmas airs Sunday night on VH1. Whip up a batch of Jack Daniels egg nog, fry up some squirrel, and invite over the cousins and in-laws (most of whom are both)!

New in theaters this weekend: Stuck on You; Something's Gotta Give; Love Don't Cost a Thing.

The Velvet Teddy Bear Ruben Studdard belts out one of the songs from his debut album tonight on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin Did Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin elope? An official in the Santa Barbara clerk-recorder's office has confirmed the reports, but provided no other details. The celebrity couple applied for a marriage license last Friday, and apparently tied the knot in a short, secret ceremony.

Did you watch Trista and Ryan's Wedding last night? If you'd like to duplicate it for your own nuptials, you'll need to come up with almost $4 million! ABC picked up the tab for Trista and Ryan, of course.

Beyoncé and R. Kelly snagged four trophies each last night at the 2003 Billboard Music Awards. No-show 50 Cent won three, including the top honor, Artist of the Year.

Bobby Brown turned himself in yesterday to Georgia officials for allegedly hitting his wife Whitney Houston during a fight in the couple's home last weekend. Brown faces misdemeanor battery charges.

Bobby Brown has offered a public apology to Whitney Houston for his part in the couple's altercation. Whitney appeared by Brown's side at the court appearance yesterday and reportedly said, "We're still together."

Louis Vuitton has given Jennifer Lopez the boot as their spokeswoman because the diva apparently asked for too many freebies. Ironically, J-Lo is one of the few Americans who can actually afford Louis Vuitton!

A Janet Jackson fan-operated website is reporting the singer will perform during the Superbowl halftime show next month. Word is Miss Jackson is auditioning backup dancers. Janet's new CD is expected in late February.

Number one: The Diary of Alicia Keys sold 618,000 copies its first week. That's the third best debut of the year, and more then double the first week sales of Alicia Keys' freshman album.

Double Dose of Dave: Dave Matthews will be the musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman next Thursday and Friday.

Rod Stewart performs tonight on Leno. Sting's on Letterman. I'm not trying to say these guys are old--but shouldn't they be at a Bob Evans at 5 o'clock in the afternoon?

Bob Evans being a place where it seems like a lot of old people eat, old people tending to eat dinner early in the day, and 5 o'clock being close to the time Jay and Dave actually tape their shows. Dammit. I hate when you have to explain your supposed "joke."

Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown If it weren't for bad news, there'd be no Bobby Brown news at all: Atlanta police could press domestic violence charges against the singer after being called to the home he shares with wife Whitney Houston. Houston told police Brown hit her in the face during an argument, bruising her cheek and cutting her lip. Brown reportedly left for California after the dispute.

An idea I told you about recently will become a reality. The Casino, an hour-long reality drama from Survivor producer Mark Burnett about the relaunch of Las Vegas' Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, is coming to FOX this summer. Big hit? Bet it all on "Yes!"

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl sold 11 million DVD and VHS units in its first week of release, making it the best-selling live action movie in history.

Did Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin secretly wed last Friday in California? Some people are saying "yes." Representatives for the couple say they're on vacation and "are out of contact" for the next week.

Congrats to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello and jazz chanteuse Diana Krall, who were married Saturday at Elton John's castle in London.

A punch line with punch lines: MC Hammer is getting his own comedy series on the WB. No word when it'll debut. (But I'm pretty sure its time slot will be... "Hammertime!")

Been praying for the day somebody would cover Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)"? One of the year's rising stars, Jason Mraz, will perform it on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. When? That's on the last day of 2003, Sparky.

Idol chatter: Clay Aiken's debut album, Measure of a Man, has sold two million copies. When Clay lost to Ruben, he should've asked for a recount of all the Florida votes.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest will take over for broadcasting legend Casey Kasem as host of the long-running radio countdown American Top 40 beginning in January.

Ryan Seacrest hosts the 2003 Billboard Awards tonight on FOX. Sting, No Doubt, R. Kelly, Beyonce, Clay Aiken, Pink, Foo Fighters, Shania Twain and Evanescence perform.

If you're one of the millions of Americans out of work, it's probably because Ryan Seacrest is doing your old job!

Trista Rehn & Ryan Sutter Bachelorette no more: Trista Rehn married her TV beau Ryan Sutter Saturday near Palm Springs, California. Because nothing happens anymore that isn't shown on TV, ABC airs the wedding Wednesday night.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin have applied for a marriage license in Santa Barbara, California. They have 90 days if they decide to use it.

The Last Samurai finishes first. The new Tom Cruise flick made $24.4 million over the weekend.

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne says the reason he shuffles and bumbles around the house on The Osbournes is that he's been overprescribed a long list of powerful anti-psychotic and tranquilizing drugs by a Beverly Hills physician. Check your caller ID, Ozzy--Rush Limbaugh's ringing to get the name of the doctor!

The Supreme Court says civil rights figure Rosa Parks can sue rap group Outkast for naming a song after her without her permission.

Shocking… but intriguing: Singer Michelle Branch watches porn on her tour bus! She reveals this, plus other things in a sexy photo spread, in the new Maxim magazine.

American Idol returns for its third edition with three consecutive nights of new episodes January 19th, 20th and 21st.

A new Janet Jackson CD is scheduled to be released February 24th. There's talk of an '04 summer tour.

The Internet search engine Lycos says Britney Spears was the most searched for female of 2003. Considering the media blitz for her new album, seems to me she was also the easiest to find.

Thank/Blame Oprah: The rest of the Backstreet Boys surprised group member A.J. McLean by joining him during his appearance on Oprah, which airs Wednesday. It was the first time the BSB guys have been in the same room together in six months. They say they're inspired to hit the studio next month and record a new album.

Pink is the musical guest on Leno tonight. Hoobastank perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
