51.1 million people watched the Friends finale Thursday night. Good numbers--but also about 33 percent less than the Seinfeld send-off a few years back. If you want it on DVD, you won't have to wait long. It'll be in stores Tuesday. The set also includes the original pilot. "Big Tom" is gone from Survivor: All-Stars. Sunday night's final four are Rupert Boneham, Amber Brkich, Jenna Lewis and "Boston" Rob Mariano. George Huff was voted off American Idol Wednesday night. Jessica Simpson will go on tour this summer. Info here. Word is Missy Elliott will "join" Madonna via videotape during the material mom's upcoming tour. Missy will do that rap from the revamped "Into The Groove" featured in those Gap commercials. Usher's "Yeah" is still the number song in the country--that's a dozen straight weeks on the Billboard singles chart. Disney has asked Clay Aiken to record "Proud Of Your Boy," a song that was dropped from the original Aladdin. They're bringing the song back for an upcoming two-disc special-edition of the animated classic. Baseball fans and teams expressed they're disapproval--so that plan to put Spider-Man 2 ads on the bases at MLB games has struck out. As is the tradition, this year's crop of American Idol finalists hit the road July 14th for a 48-city tour. Tickets to see the top-ten finishers go on sale May 22nd. More info here. If this is some sort of cruel joke, I love it! On the first John Stevens-less night of American Idol, they make the contestants sing big band music--something that goof could've actually done well! The Results Show airs tonight. To make up for the suffering he inflicted, John Stevens should be voted off again (to make sure he's good and gone)! Jessica Simpson already rules on ABC and MTV--looks like FOX is hoping for some ratings magic. Jess hosts Summer Music Mania, featuring performances from Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris, J-Kwon, 3 Doors Down, Eamon, Murphy Lee and Nelly. The special airs June 1st. And in case you missed it, ABC will rerun The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour on May 22nd. The latest trend in product placement? Ads for Spider-Man 2 on the actual bases (!!) at Major League Baseball games June 11th-13th. If somebody pitches a no-hitter, does the movie company get their money back? Word is that Britney Spears is tired of touring--even though she has a ways to go before it's over. She reportedly flew her dude--Kevin Federline, who just broke up with his pregnant fiancée to be with Brit--to Europe to keep her "spirits up." If you didn't believe her before, this probably won't change your mind: Gwen Stefani has said it again (this time in Cosmo)--No Doubt are NOT breaking up. D12 have toppled five-time album-chart champ Usher with their new CD, D12 World. The Eminem-led group sold 544,000 copies. Usher's Confessions has sold three million copies to date (triple platinum). Rapper Nelly plans to release two albums simultaneously. Not a double album--but two totally different CDs (one with a party vibe, one more edgy). Mean People Suck… You Into The Theater! Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan and written by SNL's Tina Fey, ruled the weekend box office, raking in $24.4 million. Word is Ashton Kutcher could play rocker Tommy Lee in an upcoming flick about 80s glam band Motley Crue. Does he get to recreate the Pamela sex tape (if so, will he do his own "stunts")? Jennifer Aniston says she has no plans to do a movie with hubby Brad Pitt--that they've seen how it's turned out for other couples. Too bad, I've been working on the script for Gigli II: The Uncoupling. Oprah Winfrey has snagged the first interview with Luther Vandross since his stroke. The chat airs this Thursday. Michael Jackson got some good news--not from the courts, but from his bosses. The singer can pay his legal bills with a $3.5 million advance from Sony Music for an upcoming boxed set of his music that'll be released this fall. The people who do the voices for The Simpsons have doubled their salaries--they'll get $250,000 per episode. The Miami Heat invited William Hung to sing "She Bangs" at yesterday's playoff game with the New Orleans Hornets. I guess the team decided to stay true to the way of the Hung--they lost.
