Usher Usher rules! Mr. Raymond has three top ten hits on the Billboard singles chart: #1 "Burn," #4 "Yeah," #9 "Confessions Part II." Only the Beatles (1964) and the Bee Gees (1978) have been able to achieve this feat.

Producer Lil Jon, whose crunked up beats help make Usher's "Yeah" the smash it is, says he's got a song ready to go where he'll re-team with Usher and Ludacris. Lil Jon says "Red Light" will be "Monstrous. The beat is gonna be incredible."

Big Boi from OutKast has been tapped to open for Usher on his upcoming tour.

She's easing into her reign as the new American Idol. But Fantasia Barrino has one appearance lined-up: ABC's The View, June 3rd.

I gotta admit--I was pretty convinced people watching American Idol were screwing it up (some of the WTF? voting earlier in the season). But compared to her competition this season, Fantasia is the real deal. America made the right choice.

The judge in the Michael Jackson case has set a tentative trial date: September 13th. So Michael, if you're planning to flee the country, you've got all summer to get packed.

Michael Jackson's lawyers are complaining that his bail is set too high. After all, the $3 million he's supposed to give the courts would be very nice to have when he's fleeing the country!

So what becomes of those engagement rings from those couples on The Batchelor that don't work out (uh, that be all of them)? Well, if you're Estella, whose TV romance with Batchelor Bob didn't last once the cameras were turned off, you put the ring up for auction.

New in theaters: The Day After Tomorrow (global-warming disaster flick); Raising Helen (Kate Hudson comedy); Saved (Mandy Moore, Macaulay Culkin Catholic high school dark comedy); Soul Plane (Snoop Dogg, Tom Arnold "Pimp My Airplane" comedy).

Producers of American Idol are teaming up with Dick Clark to resurrect American Bandstand. The search in underway for a host. Oh no, not another job for Ryan Seacrest!

Paula Abdul--"judge for hire"--will judge next month's Miss Universe 2004. Paula will be kind and supportive, and give you the "courtesy cry" if you don't win. (Wish she was around when I didn't make the varsity basketball team in 8th grade!)

P. Diddy is teaming up with Estee Lauder for a line of men's fragrances. Great. Some knucklehead looking to avenge the death of Tupac will be able to smell you from across the room!

Despite their tendency to market their own perfumes, apparently some celebrities don't smell too good. In fact, they're downright smelly, according to Blabbermouth.net.

A flight from New York to Los Angeles was delayed for 20 minutes last week… because the captain was schmoozing with singer Usher. Some passengers were reportedly upset. Wise up, people. Of all the things that could go wrong on an airplane…

Ellen DeGeneres picked up a Daytime Emmy over the weekend for best talk show.

New CD out tomorrow: Avril Lavigne, Under My Skin.

Avril Lavigne is on Letterman tonight. Ashlee Simpson and Snoop Dogg are on Leno.
