LL Cool J Rocker Courtney Love has been hospitalized for a possible drug overdose, after police responding to a burglary call busted her for breaking windows at a friend's house.

Britney Spears' new single, "Me Against The Music," debuts at a minute past midnight Monday on AOL's First Listen. The track is a duet with Madonna.

Congrats! Today Show host Matt Lauer and his wife Annette had a baby girl yesterday. They've named her Romy.

Old-really old-School: Queen Latifah's set to record an album of classic songs originally performed by the likes of Bessie Smith and Pearl Bailey.

Kid Rock has remade Bad Company's 1975 classic rock hit "Feel Like Making Love." Kid releases his version next week.

Michael Jackson's upcoming greatest hits album is supposed to feature all his songs that have reached number one on the charts. The CD is called Number Ones, after all. But the disc includes "Smooth Criminal" and "You Rock My World," neither of which has topped the charts in the U.S. or England.

The next closest thing to Vin Diesel is… Ice Cube?!? The muscular and intense Diesel doesn't want to star in the sequel to XXX--so producers have tapped the pudgy and comedic Cube to take his place.

The number album in the country this week is Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. The outlandish rap duo also has the number one video on MTV, "Hey Ya." Looks like their album, a two-disc "double solo album," should also top the charts next week, based on early sales figures.

Halle Barry has kicked her hubby Eric Benet to the curb because the idiot won't stop cheating on her. I think I speak for most men when I say: "Dude, you WON! You married HALLE! Seriously, what is WRONG with you?"

LL Cool J Rapper-actor LL Cool J told U.S. Senators yesterday that the music industry's crackdown on illegal file-swappers is justified. Chuck D. from Public Enemy testified in favor of sharing music over the Internet. The whole thing confused me. I just wanted to peep 106 & Park. Turns out I was watching C-SPAN2.

So who's getting the better ratings, Ellen DeGeneres or Sharon Osbourne? Actually, it's a tie at the moment. They share the honor of having the season's highest rated new daytime talk show.

Madonna's being sued by the son of famous fashion photographer Guy Bourdin. He claims images from her "Hollywood" video were stolen from his deceased father's work for such magazines as Vogue. (Hey, another lawsuit! She stole that title for her song!) Anyway, the son may have a point. Take a look at the images.

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs says he'll run in the upcoming New York City marathon to raise money for charity.

You Love Giving A Baby Name: Jon Bon Jovi will be a papa for the fourth time. The rocker and his wife Dorothea are expecting the new addition sometime this spring.

R. Kelly has written a new song for an upcoming Michael Jackson greatest hits album. The inappropriate sexual behavior alert level in and around the studio has just been raised to "orange."

Norah Jones is a big country music fan. So it's no surprise the Grammy-winning singer will duet with Dolly Parton at this year's Country Music Association Awards November 5th on CBS.

Comedian Louie Anderson is in a Los Angeles hospital after an undisclosed heart procedure. His agent says a complete recovery is expected.

Oprah Winfrey has selected Alan Paton's 1948 novel Cry, the Beloved Country for her revived book club. I admire people who read books. Personally, I can barely make it through this col… zzzzzzzzz!

R.E.M. gave an Internet concert last night. The free web cast will be archived on their website for the next month.

ABC, CBS and Fox have a few season premieres airing tonight. Look for less of actor Kevin James on The King of Queens--40 pounds less! James has been dieting and exercising over the summer, making that marriage on the show seem like something that could actually happen in this galaxy!

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Sting (inducted as a member of the Police) and Tom Petty appear tonight on Letterman and Leno, respectively.

Jennifer Aniston How badly does Jennifer Aniston want to start a family? She wasn't going to return for a final season of Friends unless producers agreed to an abbreviated schedule. This season consists of only 18 new episodes, instead of the usual 24. They'll tape two shows a week and be done by January.

Word is NBC's The Restaurant should be serving up new episodes by mid-season.

…and yet Osama Bin Laden roams free. Lil' Kim is a wanted woman. Something about not showing up to court for something that happened years ago. The Smoking Gun has details about the warrant for the rapper's arrest.

Christina Aguilera hosts the MTV Europe Awards, November 6th in Edinburgh, Scotland. Beyonce and Kylie Minogue perform.

Did late night talk show host David Letterman secretly tie the knot with longtime gal-pal Regina Lasko a couple weekends ago at his ranch in Montana? MSNBC's Jeannette Walls says, "Yes." The couple is expecting their first child.

Ozzy Osbourne is writing songs for a Broadway musical based on the life of the notorious Russian monk Rasputin. If producers wanna remind people or another big Broadway success--while tying into Ozzy's notorious history--they outta call it Bats!

Dixie Chicks Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines has written an open-letter to the media, music industry and fans saying the group doesn't "feel part of the country scene any longer." Maines declares they now consider themselves "part of the big rock 'n' roll family." Click here to read the singer's surprisingly humorous rant.

People are smellin' what The Rock is cookin'. The wrestler's crime caper The Rundown smacked the competition down, earning $18.5 million to top the weekend box office.

Bruce Willis told a group of soldiers he performed for over the weekend in Northern Iraq that he'll give a million dollars to the people who capture Saddam Hussein. Drew Carey also entertained troops in another part of Iraq. Drew didn't offer any reward (but I'm sure he could come up with a few six-packs, and a bag of pork rinds).

Pop star Justin Timberlake snagged five nominations today for the MTV Europe Awards, including best pop video of the year for "Cry Me a River."

Love on the rocks: Actor Ethan Hawke has moved out of the New York City apartment he shares with wife Uma Thurman after cheating on her, according to one of those nasty little rumors that nobody knows who started.

Rumors are also heating up that Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz are engaged. She says Lenny's just letting her stay in his vacant apartment while hers is being remodeled. But the two (apparent) lovebirds have been spotted together everywhere.

Did you miss that recent Dave Matthews Band concert in New York City? It'll be released on CD and DVD November 11th. Some music stores will even overcharge you for it, so you can get the full experience of being "robbed" in Central Park.

Bass player Charlie Colin has quit the band Train. He's the second member to leave the group this year, following the departure of guitarist Rob Hotchkiss a few months ago.

Tori Amos releases a greatest hits album November 18th called Tales Of A Librarian. The disc includes 20 songs from Tori's entire career, two new songs, newly-recorded versions of a couple of rare songs, and a bonus DVD with three songs recorded earlier this month during the sound check.

Courtney Love's first solo album, American Sweetheart, has been pushed back from an October 28th release to February 10th, 2004. Courtney "Love" just in time for Valentine's Day.

Singer Robert Palmer will be buried this week in Switzerland, where he's been living for the last 15 years.

Pop chanteuse Kylie Minogue has received 700 letters from a deranged fan, and has decided to jet off on a globe-trotting trip to avoid the public spotlight for awhile. I'm glad she got the letters--I was a little worried since I hadn't heard back from her!
