Arrested Development Arrested Development broke up last century (1996). Nevertheless the hip hop group has filed a trademark infringement suit against the Fox television network over its new show Arrested Development.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has hired a private investigator to look into allegations that he groped women. He needs a P.I.? He doesn't know if he did it or not? Maybe Arnold is a Democrat after all.

Universal Pictures has given the green light for The Fast and Furious Music Tour next summer. The all-day events will celebrate the lifestyle of the underground street racer with DJ battles, MC battles, break dancing competitions, car shows, and performances from some of the artists who've appeared on the two movies' soundtracks.

Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé Knowles and Christina Aguilera were the big winners at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, which (apparently) are awarded annually to Americans who sell a lot of music to Europe-people.

Madonna's got another children's book (Mr. Peabody's Apples) coming out Monday. You'll be able to download a sound file of Mom-donna reading the entire book at AOL.com, Audible.com, and Apple's iTunes.com.

Bobby Hatfield, half of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo the Righteous Brothers, was found dead in his hotel room 30 minutes before a concert appearance in Michigan. The cause of death is not known, and an autopsy is planned. Hatfield was 63.

Did singer Bryan Adams have an affair with Princess Diana in 1996? Bryan's ex says, "Yes." Diana's former butler is on record saying that one of the princess' nine lovers was "a leading musician." Guess he'll have to change the song to "Summer of '96."

Celine Dion's Vegas show was filmed last Saturday for an upcoming live CD and DVD release.

Britney Spears helps Jimmy Kimmel celebrate his 36th birthday on Thursday night next week by appearing on his ABC late night talk show.

New in theaters this weekend: Elf; The Matrix Revolutions (opened Wednesday).

Debra Messing Debra Messing's real-life pregnancy won't be written into the storyline of Will & Grace. Probably better that
way--Will & Grace & A Baby just doesn't have the same ring to it!

Dixie Chick Martie Maguire is pregnant--with twins! Even though it's a blessed event, you know somebody will picket the hospital the day those babies are born.

If she can only do for the British stage what's she's done for the American cinema: singer Mariah Carey has signed on to play the Marilyn Monroe role in a London stage production of The Sleeping Prince.

Johnny Cash won the Country Music Association's album of the year, single of the year and video of the year awards last night--his first CMA awards since 1969. Cash died in September.

Disney sold 8 million copies of Finding Nemo the day it hit stores. That's a new record for first-day sales, besting the 5 million Monsters, Inc. sold a couple years ago.

Courtney Love Courtney Love insists in US Weekly that she isn't addicted to drugs. I'm looking at the photo and at her statement and trying to figure what the loophole is…

Rapper Jay-Z's upcoming The Black Album has been leaked on the Internet--and fans are already downloading it. The record company has decided to release it November 14th, instead of November 28th.

Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken will perform at the 77th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Hilary Duff, Aaron Carter and Mya are also scheduled to sing atop floats.

There's still no word about guitarist Ben Moody's status in the band Evanescence. Moody left the group earlier this week in the middle of the group's European tour. Nobody knows if he'll be with the group when they perform on the American Music Awards later this month.

Jason Mraz recorded a recent Milwaukee concert for a live CD and DVD due in early spring.

Coldplay has trashed 42 new songs they were considering for their next album for not being up to the band's standards. Even so, the dumpster outside the studio has been nominated for a Grammy!

Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below has reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard magazine album charts. That makes it three weeks at number one.

David Letterman shows off a pic of his baby boy "You wanna know what I decided to name it? Saddam," David Letterman joked with his audience last night, as he recounted the events of Monday that culminated with the birth of a son.

Letterman's girlfriend, Regina Lasko, and the nine pound, 11 ounce boy are doing well in a New York hospital. The kid, Dave's first, is actually named after his late father, Harry Joseph Letterman.

CBS has elected to not show the controversial miniseries, The Reagans. It'll air on Showtime instead. CBS says the decision was based on network "reaction to seeing the final film" and not right-wing criticism. Yeah, you keep telling yourself that.

Britney Spears says she's got the flu and won't attend the MTV Europe Music Awards later this week. Her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake is the top nominee, and the show's hosted by Britney's rival, Christina Aguilera. Interesting…

VH1 debuts Britney Spears: Behind The Music this Sunday night. Britney talks about "the kiss" with Madonna: "The kiss… was Madonna's idea. She's the groom and I'm the bride." Finally a reality dating show that men can enjoy!!

Ben and Jen Rumor Du Jour: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will tie the knot later this month at Ben's island estate in Savannah, Georgia. This information will be directly contradicted by tomorrow's "Ben and Jen Rumor Du Jour."

The former bassist and drummer of The Calling are suing their ex-band mates and their management company for fraud and mismanagement. Billy Mohler and Nate Wood claim they're owed money. Meanwhile, the band has just completed their second album, due to be release early next year.

How far will the reality TV craze go? How 'bout a new reality show called Can You Be a Pornstar? It'll be hosted by porn actress Mary Carey, who recently ran for governor of California. What channel will this be on? I'm not contributing to your degeneracy! (Okay, it's pay-per-view… ask them to wrap your TV in a brown paper bag.)

HFWTRTVCG, part two: "Funny Bob," aka Bob Guiney, aka "The Bachelor," has just shot a video for a song called "Girlfriend" from his album 3 Sides, which hits stores later this month.

Actor James Brolin as Ronald Reagan Republicans have demanded that CBS make unspecified changes to the network's upcoming biopic The Reagans. The telepic's director has quit in protest. CBS' head of programming says he's not sure if the network will even air it. All of this has got me jonesing for some old Dynasty episodes!

Evanescence songwriter and guitarist Ben Moody has left the group in the middle of their European tour. Much is unclear. Even the group's manager can't say for sure if Moody's left the group for good.

There's yet another awards show. At least this one will be funny. The Commies, hosted by Andy Richter and airing on Comedy Central, will honor the funniest performances of the year in television, movies, music, news and internet.

CBS is trying to persuade Michael Jackson to perform in a Thanksgiving special for the network that would help promote the singer's greatest hits album, Number Ones. Considering rumors that Michael has financial problems, I think all they have to do to convince him is... ask.

Kelly Clarkson's first headlining tour kicks off January 26th in Washington DC.

Not runna-hatin', just tabulatin': P. Diddy's time in the New York City Marathon Sunday was 4 hours, 15 minutes. Oprah Winfrey ran a marathon in Washington DC in 1994. Her time that day was 4 hours, 29 minutes.

The band R.E.M. is still is pretty big deal… in England. Their new greatest hits album, In Time: The Best Of R.E.M. 1988-2003, debuted at number one on the British charts. It's the band's sixth chart-topping album in the U.K.

Madonna has lined-up same-day performances on Live With Regis & Kelly, and the Late Show with David Letterman, November 11th.

Britney Spears dating actor John Cusack? That's the word. This would be Brit's first relationship since… Madonna!

Stuff to spend your money on: Avril Lavigne's DVD, My World, and Coldplay's DVD, Live 2003, are in stores today. As are new CDs from Sarah McLachlan (Afterglow) and Toby Keith (Shock'n Y'all).

ABC has the difficult task of trying to continue the show 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter with its first new episode since the death of star John Ritter. An hour-long episode that deals with the death of Ritter's character, said to be touching and heartfelt, airs tonight.

Huff-and-Puff Daddy P. Diddy did it. The rap impresario finished the New York City Marathon yesterday in 4 hours, 14 minutes, 54 seconds. Huff-and-Puff Daddy, recently accused of using sweat shop labor at the overseas plants that manufacture his Sean Jean clothing line, raised $2 million for children's charities with his marathon effort.

Scary Movie 3 earned another $21 million to top the box office for a second straight weekend. Disney's animated Brother Bear did well, making $18 million.

Cher wrapped up her farewell tour Halloween night in Toronto. She made $145 million over the last 18 months, the biggest tour for a female artist of all-time. One of the perks of such a successful trek? A nice new record contract with Warner Brothers.

Can't get a decent room at the ritzy Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland for the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards? That's because Jennifer Lopez has rented out the entire top floor, effectively "suite-blocking" such divas as Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Kylie Minogue. Five-star accommodations in Edinburgh are apparently limited, and there's bound to be some Grumpy Young Ladies.

Grumpy Old Men: Rod Stewart complained to the press that Grammys he deserved to win have been given to Sting instead. Sting responded by offering Rod one of his many, many Grammys.

NBC has pulled the plug on its highly-promoted new sitcom Coupling. The problem is only a couple people have been watching it!

Did you happen to notice that Grace appeared in only two small scenes (and she was in bed for both of those) in last week's "super-sized" episode of Will & Grace? Turns out Debra Messing is pregnant, and W&G writers scrambled to come up with a storyline that'll allow her to work a reduced schedule. Messing's character is going to Cambodia with her husband for six months.

Insiders say when Britney Spears is out on the town, she specifically asks the club DJs to NOT play anything by Beyonce Knowles or Justin Timberlake. Meow!

C YA: singer Craig David recently dumped his girlfriend… by text message!

Punk'd: The Complete First Season is coming out on DVD January 20th, with memorable pranks on celebs Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Jack Osbourne and others.

Leno has musical guest Chingy with Ludacris and Snoop Dogg tonight. Letterman welcomes Sarah McLachlan.
